12/04/08 New Steelhead Fishing in Oregon web site is up! This great little web site is loaded with info, videos and resource links related to steelhead fishing in Oregon. The first of a set of sites related to the different Northwest fish runs. Hope you will drop by our Forum and lets us know what you think of the new site : )

09/05/08 New Film Released!!! Alosa Sapidissima is up! A very Northwest short film that gives you the feel of a day out on Oregon's Columbia River. About the American Shad and our relationship to them as angler's.

08/06/08 NEW FILM RELEASE DATE SET! Our newest 'Action Short Film' "Alosa Sapidissima" Will be released on Friday September 5th!!!! I had hope for an August release because of how short the film is but right now IM off to Alaska to film for 8 sweet days so it will have to wait! Our new SSSF Northwest Fishing forum will be open on September 1st and we hope you will stop in and make a name for yourself.

07/10/08 I have added a new gallery called Aggro Gator Gallery.

A collection of shots I have of the sturgeon trying to get the shad off our lines. You dont want to miss this stuff either! A "Short Reels" video clip of some hand feeding sturgeon action that will blow you away will also accompany the release of "Alosa Sapidissima" the film. Enjoy the gallery for now please!

An insane sidedrift hookup while searching for natives to contribute to the Sandy broodstock program and a perfect prawn roll takes the nooker for Bob Singley on the Willamette..If your having trouble viewing due to size, all clips are loaded to our YouTube and MySpace sites as well.

Northwest River Cleanup

Along with several new "Short Reel's" clips Astori C&R Gator's is still on the feature list. I am currently editing a film from the Deschutes river this last year with Mitch Webb from Kevin's Briftboat and Take a Soldier Fishing. A good time was had by all with one steelhead for each of us. I have a realy cool american shad fishing film that will be ready for release by shad season this spring. We will have some more great films to showcase after a few key things this year. I am heading to Alaska this fall for a week in the Kenai Peninsula area with a friend. It is our hope to start an Alaska adventure Journel that will showcase local lodges and services as well as Small Stream Salmon Fishing. This has been done before but never my way : ) Stay tuned for more!

I am working on Columbia, McKenzie, Deschutes and Tillamook Bay fishing sites now and even though they are online may take several weeks to complete. Check out "Their Missions" page. In PGP news a film titled Astoria C&R Gators with Kevin Newells family has been released and can be found on our movies page. The film is a showcase for great White sturgeon fishing in Astoria and we also are going to show you exactly how we do it. A recent addition to the SSSF site is the "Short Reel's" series. The first clip in the series briefly shows how to catch steelhead in low water with a fly rod, a steelhead jig and a strike inidactor. These Short Reels clips will all be under 5 minutes long. I also loaded a Bobber Fishing Tips film that was well rated by what looks like over 2000 viewers between the 2 file types. If your looking to improve your bobber fishing this fall check this film out...You will learn lots of great tips to take to the river with you. Do not forget to also watch the "Sandshrimp Rigging" clip if your going to be bobber fishing with cocktails for fall chinook this year : ).

I have 2 additional clips set asiad for Short Reel's from the Astoria footage. A clip on rigging an anchovy for sturgeon the correct way and the complete 10 footer land & release. I want to take the educational parts of some films and cut out clips for this purpose. This gives us great material for our PGP MySpace and Utube. The year is looking good for film with trips in the works with several great Oregon and Washington guides. IM trying to cover some of the east side this year and also hoping to get down to the south coast rivers for some photos and fishing. I am submitting additional films to Metro East cablecast for this year because last year they ran them as fillers at night and people often reported seeing them to me. I am glad to hear this because normaly it only gets played 4 times total a year.
